Somewhere to begin
No single song has to hold all of me—or all of you. Begin with what draws you. Keep listening for what you did not expect.
A child wants acceptance without disappearing. Mama keeps the doorway open; Grandma pulls up a chair. By the end, the welcome is something he can offer.
01 · TruthfullyMake It WeirdSay what you want. Leave room for an answer. Enjoy what happens when candor changes the flirtation and each person still gets to choose what happens next.
11 · Make It WeirdThe World Was HerePride fills the street. A stranger reaches back on a muddy trail. Someone makes space at the table. The pleasure of joining the world becomes an invitation to help shape it.
05 · The World Was HereThe sixteen songs

Follow a thread. Each song can carry more than one.
A child hears what goes unsaid. Mama keeps the doorway open; Grandma pulls up a chair. The truth that once risked belonging becomes a way to make room for someone else.

I can love and stand my ground
Lyric excerpt
Inside TruthfullyA vampire story that begins with care: wanting someone to love their life. Across the centuries, the protector learns that his own rest, appetite and freedom deserve protection too.

These teeth protect me too
Lyric excerpt
Inside Love Has TeethThe hurt was spoken. It was understood. The behavior continued. Leaving becomes a choice that makes room for future love, without asking the next person to answer for the last.

I can love you, I can leave you
Lyric excerpt
Inside Open When It BreaksA phone propped against a book. An unplanned laugh. Dishes that can wait. Self-company becomes a pleasure of its own, with room for an old ache and a new man’s Sunday plans.

I like who I’m with
Lyric excerpt
Inside Good CompanyDenver becomes a chosen home where more of Chris can live openly. A street alive with desire, a stranger reaching back through the mud, a chair made available: these encounters challenge the prejudices he inherited and sometimes carried himself. The hope reaches people still taught to hide: another way of living together is possible, and being welcomed can become making room.

The world was here I’m here for it
Lyric excerpt
Inside The World Was HerePreparation and imagination meet a world where money, rank and permission can decide whose ideas count. Outnumbered turns that pressure into a commitment to make something real—and to build with people who can see what its ruler cannot.

I want the thing inside my head To have a life beyond my own
Lyric excerpt
Inside OutnumberedA sweet melody meets a filthy bass line. A familiar choice stops passing for a permanent personality. Curiosity gets its hands on the music, the evening and the next kiss.

I don’t owe the life behind me All the days I haven’t lived
Lyric excerpt
Inside Just BecauseTwo men trade the good parts of their nights. Hearing what the other wanted, and enjoyed, brings them closer. Then the conversation becomes an invitation to stay.

I like you looking. I like being seen.
Lyric excerpt
Inside I Like You LookingAttraction interrupts a description. An old suspicion catches itself before becoming someone else’s burden. The conversation grows more candid, more particular and much less innocent.

You might give me one I haven’t tried
Lyric excerpt
Inside My Type, ApparentlyA technically true answer can still keep someone choosing with half the story. Across three encounters, wit exposes unequal terms, a double standard, and the effort one person keeps expecting the other to supply. He can want the man and question the bargain. Wanting you does not make your version of the truth enough.

I can face your answer Can you? I can’t do Honesty for two
Lyric excerpt
Inside TechnicallySay the want. Leave space for an answer. Keep the right to stay or go. An intimate dare for people who would rather be wanted as themselves, than be wanted as somebody else.

I play a different game. I tell the truth. You lose your place. Funny what the truth undresses.
Lyric excerpt
Inside Make It WeirdAn interrupted wedding gives way to a relationship lived on its own terms. Honest wants, Sunday stories, and a song that one partner learns to love make freedom feel close.

I want your arms around me And your life to still be yours.
Lyric excerpt
Inside Let It Reach MeTwo people mistake each other’s happiness for how little they are missed. A conversation changes the reading. A reunion, then a next-day call with nothing new to report, makes the discovery real.

You don’t have to hurt For missing me to count.
Lyric excerpt
Inside I Could Be WrongPlato on a phone, a date across the table. History, sharp humor and a man’s desire for another man confront the power that teaches shame, then calls its control love. The answer is a life being lived: a hand held in public, a dance, and two people whose closeness leaves them free.

Your freedom looks good next to me.
Lyric excerpt
Inside Before Your PermissionA crowded dance floor, two cold waters, a chorus sung wrong on purpose. A laugh becomes a kiss. The night gets to be about the pleasure already happening, with enough room for another song.

My hips heard it first. Mm, the rest of me agrees.
Lyric excerpt
Inside My Hips Heard It FirstAn unexpected note. An attractive distraction. The chair from the opening song returns, now offered to an unfamiliar future self. The ending holds conviction, love and an appetite for more life.

I can stand my ground and still be moved.
Lyric excerpt
Inside Still My OwnThe artistic signature · In Chris’s words
Real Hearts & Bodies is my genre and artistic signature in English and Spanish: electronic pop, intimate Hiphop/R&B and melodic rap opening into house energy, reggaeton-inflected rhythms and instrumental colors from different traditions.
My signature lives in how those musical worlds meet an emotional life. A rhythm can carry conviction; a voice can let uncertainty be heard. Through original writing, extensive revision and musical direction, I shape the relationship between what a song says and what its sound leads us to feel.
Here, heartfelt love can be fierce. Desire can be intellectually charged. Pleasure can matter for its own sake, and a song can give words to something you have struggled to name.
I want that recognition to leave more room for your own choices: what you welcome, what you refuse, how you love and who you are still becoming.

To stay my own.”
Inside Still My Own
“Every part of me gets to live, including who I have yet to become.”Chris, from the Real Hearts & Bodies statement
Still My Own moves through the loving no, the honest desire, the quiet afternoon and the conviction strong enough to question itself. A vampire who learned to protect another life finally bares his teeth for his own. A stranger reaches back through the mud; belonging becomes something you do for another person. Two people discover that enjoying their separate lives can make choosing each other more intimate. No single feeling has to stand out for the person living it.
What hurts belongs here. So do pleasure, laughter, imagination and desire, with value beyond anything they might heal. Wanting love, enjoying being desired and wanting someone to know you more fully can belong to the same life. What we enjoy, question, create and share also shapes who we become.
The freedom to bring more of yourself asks something in return: room for another person’s truth, choices and changes. You can protect yourself and remain open to being reached. You can discover something new without making every earlier feeling a lie. Being whole leaves room for life to keep happening.

You bring a life these songs have not lived. Your sexuality, gender, relationships and beliefs need not resemble Chris’s for something here to reach you. Thought can meet desire. Strength can include being moved. A familiar feeling can open an unfamiliar possibility.
Love, desire, humor and the freedom to change belong to people across genders, sexualities and backgrounds. Some songs explicitly name men loving men; others unfold through voices meeting and answering one another. Each keeps its particular life. You do not have to share those relationships to recognize a feeling, question an assumption or discover a possibility of your own.
Freedom, desire & belonging
The artist
Chris in Full is the artist identity of Christian Rodriguez, a Cuban-American songwriter, performer, writer and visual creator born and raised in Miami, with Denver, Colorado as his chosen home.
A mental image carrying a feeling often arrives before the words. Chris develops it through extensive writing, revision and musical and performance direction, bringing intuition, emotional sensitivity and logical synthesis into conversation. Meditation, philosophy, psychology, formal study and ordinary experience inform how closely he listens to what a line means and what another person might hear.
That work takes form as Real Hearts & Bodies: heartfelt love, desire, confrontation, humor and a conviction willing to question itself. Music, film, intellect, sexuality and ordinary life belong to the same person. He wants the work to open possibilities a listener can recognize within a life different from his. A person is not made whole by cutting away what someone else refuses to understand.
More about ChrisAn expression within Chris in Full
Refractions gives my inner life voices, bodies and worlds you can encounter. My recorded voice, AI-generated singing and rap, imagined figures, imagery and performance treatments develop through extensive writing, rewriting, performance, emotional interpretation and musical and visual direction. I work with AI through human-defined constitutions grounded in my values, lived experience and intentions. I continue to question, reshape, reject and develop what it offers. Its possibilities enter a creative practice whose direction remains human throughout the making.
A vampire can carry love across centuries and finally bare his teeth for his own life. A wicked voice can undress an assumption before a body is touched. Tenderness, appetite, defiance and laughter can each take the lead without having to explain the whole person. The forms change. The life moving through them is mine.
